Candidate custom fields
Candidate custom fields allow you to collect and organize the exact candidate information you need, such as salary details, available start date, certifications, and more. These fields can be added to different forms like candidate applications, referrals, and agency submissions.
If you want to enable this feature, please contact us at [email protected] or call to [+971581746200](tel:+97158 1746200).
Add new candidate custom fields
Super admins and recruiters can create custom fields.

- To add a new custom field, click on Add New Custom Field, enter the field name, and select the field type (such as short answer, yes/no, date, number, currency, etc.).

-
Custom fields will be added to the following forms based on visibility settings:
- Candidate Application Form: Where candidates submit their information when applying for a job.
- You can manage field settings for each job during the application stage.
- Add Candidate Form: Used by super admins and recruiters when manually adding candidates.
- Referral Form: For employees submitting candidate referrals.
- Agency Submission Form: For agencies submitting candidates to your company.
You can also mark the field as mandatory or optional for each form.

Note: Custom fields will be shown on all candidate profiles by default

- Mark the field as confidential if needed. It will only be visible to team members with confidential information access.
Add as placeholder to offer (toggle)
Enable this toggle to make the custom field available as an offer placeholder.
When enabled:
- The field will be auto-filled while sending an offer if the candidate’s job application already has a value for it.
- Placeholder matching is label-normalized (case/spacing/underscore tolerant), so variants like
[Joining Date], [joining_date], or [JOINING_DATE] map to the same field.
- Any value updated during recruiter send-offer or candidate fill/accept flow is automatically synced to the candidate’s corresponding custom field response.
When disabled:
- Auto-fill is not applied for this field in offer flows.

Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI) Fields:
- These fields (Nationality, Country of residence and Gender) are added by default.
- DEI fields cannot be deleted.
- You can only manage the visibility of these fields in the application forms.
Joining Date custom field
- Joining Date is available as a predefined candidate custom field.
- You only need to update Joining Date once — it stays in sync across offer letters, candidate profile, HRMS (if connected), and hiring plans.

Display and use custom fields
In application forms
- Custom fields will be added to the candidate application, add candidate, referral form, agency forms based on the visibility configured in settings.
- For candidate application form, you can manage fields settings for each job during the application stage.
