As a Founding Designer at our startup, you will play a critical role in shaping the product and company's visual direction, user experience and overall aesthetic. You will work closely with the founder in developing MVPs, testing markets, and building the product. This is a key position in a small team where your ideas and input will have a direct impact on the success of the company.

What youβll do:
As a Founding Product Designer, you will:
Product Design
- Be the lead designer responsible for creating and defining the visual direction, aesthetic, and user experience of the product.
- Shape the product's user experience and help the company stand out in the market.
Product & Company Direction
- Work closely with the founder to develop MVPs, test markets, and build the product.
- Extract product learnings from customer support and sales-related discussions.
- Get involved in running quick feasibility tests with customers.
Product Management
- Participate in the technical implementation of designs and work with engineers to ensure the product is built to specification.
- Define requirements for developers on our project management tool (linear.app)
- Help developers break-down tickets and prioritize development based on value delivered to the customer.
- Help with front-end development if you know how to code
- Collaborate with the team to design efficient and scalable solutions.
In this role, you will gain exposure to all aspects of the business, from hiring and operations to fundraising, marketing and sales. You will be responsible for owning the product. Your job is to support the team in bringing the product to market.
Job Requirements:
- Atleast 2 years of professional experience working as a designer in tech product company .
- Strong experience with design tools such as Figma, relevant plugins.
- Strong understanding of User-centered design methodologies and principles.
- Hands-on experience conducting user research and gathering customer feedback.
- Experience in working with productive distributed teams and you are very organized.
- You can write and speak English fluently.
- Bonus:
- Entrepreneurial Experience in building something useful
- You can design user flows on canvasing tools like Figjam
- You can code

- You operate at a light speed.
- You are entrepreneurial, like operating independently without handholding and crave ownership.
- You are comfortable wearing multiple hats, in fact, you want to be exposed outside of your core domain. (e.g. frontend, backend, DevOps, customer support, hiring etc.)

Location
We are currently set up as a fully remote organization and we are able to do our best work remotely. However, we will try to arrange an in person meet of up to 2 weeks in the first 6 months.
