What is Whitecarrot AI?

Whitecarrot AI is an assistant inside the ATS that you talk to in plain language. Ask it about your candidates and jobs, have it create or publish a job, start a headhunt agent to source candidates, or ask how something in the ATS works. It works with your own access, so it only sees and changes what you are allowed to.

Whitecarrot AI is available on the Teams Pro plan. It is not included in the Recruiter Pro or Teams plans.

How to open Whitecarrot AI

You can open Whitecarrot AI in three ways:

• Whitecarrot AI in the left navigation opens the full chat page with your conversation history.
• The Ask Whitecarrot AI button at the bottom right of every page opens the chat next to the page you are working on.
• The global search (press Ctrl+K or Cmd+K) lets you ask Whitecarrot AI anything directly.

Start a fresh conversation any time with New chat. The suggestions on an empty chat, such as Find candidates for my role or How do I create or post a job?, are a quick way to begin.

Whitecarrot AI knows the page you are on

• When you open the chat from a job or a candidate, Whitecarrot AI already knows which one you mean, so you can ask “Who is stuck in this pipeline?” without naming the job.
• On a job or candidate page it may point out something worth your attention, for example a stage with candidates waiting more than 7 days, a job with no applicants, or a candidate who reached the offer stage.
• On any other page it knows where you are and can link you to the right page in the ATS.

Whitecarrot AI asks before it changes anything

When Whitecarrot AI wants to change something — for example create, edit, publish or close a job — it first shows an Action requires your approval card that explains what will happen. Nothing changes until you choose:

• Allow — do it this once.
• Allow for session — allow this kind of action for the rest of the conversation without asking again.
• Deny — cancel it. You can ask again later.
