Hiring Plan Overview
The Hiring Plan helps recruitment leads and recruiters:
- Plan hiring needs effectively.
- Get approvals from key stakeholders (department heads, HR, finance) through a structured approval workflow.
- Track hiring goals and monitor time-to-fill metrics — all in one place!
This feature ensures the hiring needs align seamlessly with organizational goals, ensuring a streamlined process from planning and requisitions to tracking progress and successfully hiring candidates.
What are requisitions and how to use them?
Requisitions represent all new positions your company needs to fill based on hiring requirements. A requisition is created for:
- New position (new hire): Adding a new employee to your organization.
- Replacement (backfill): Filling a role vacated by a departing employee.
The Hiring Plan begins with submitting a requisition, which goes through an approval process involving key stakeholders such as department heads, HR, and finance. Once approved, you can proceed with hiring to fill the requisitions.

How to Set Up a Requisition Approval Flow

Navigate to Settings > Hiring Plan.

Set up the Approval Flow
- Requisitions can require approval before they are created or approved.
- Default approval flow (simple setup)
- You can set up a standard approval flow (step-by-step approvals).
- Approvers receive email and in-app notifications.
- Approvers can approve or reject the requisition request.
- Conditional approval flows
- You can also create conditional approval flows so different offers follow different approval paths based on rules like:
- Department, Location, Job fields / job custom fields, Candidate fields / candidate custom fields, Requisition details
- You can add Super Admins, Recruiters, or Hiring Managers as approvers.
- You can also add the Head of Department as an approver. The system will automatically identify the Head of Department based on the candidate's department.
