Overview
Stage pipeline templates determine the stages your candidates will pass through in the hiring process. Stage pipeline templates are created in settings and assigned to jobs when creating them. All jobs require a Stage pipeline. Super admins and recruiters can create and manage the Stage pipeline templates.
Creating Stage pipeline templates
- Navigate to: Settings > Stage pipeline Templates
- Click on: "Add New Stage pipeline Template"
- Each template includes Sourced, Application, and Hired stages by default.
- These stages cannot be edited, deleted, or re-ordered.
- Add stages in the template as per your hiring needs.

Note:
-
We recommend updating the default Stage pipeline template based on your hiring needs and using it for all jobs.
-
If you need different Stage pipelines, we recommend creating templates based on departments.
For example:
- Engineering Stage pipeline â Use it for all engineering jobs.
- Sales Stage pipeline â Use it for all sales jobs.

Link Stage pipeline templates to jobs
When creating a new job, you can select a Stage pipeline template in the Stage pipeline step.
- By default, every job is linked to the Default Stage pipeline template.

How to the change Stage pipeline template of a job?
- Click the Stage pipeline template drop-down and choose the desired template.
- Map the stages from the current Stage pipeline to the selected Stage pipeline template:
- Locked stages (Sourced, Application, and Hired) are automatically mapped.
- Other stages must be mapped manually.
- Stages containing candidates must be mapped before proceeding.

What does mapping do?
If a stage contains candidates or tasks, mapping moves them to the selected stage without losing any data.

Manage Stage pipeline templates
- You can view the number of jobs using each template and the total candidates across all linked jobs.
- You can edit, clone, and delete Stage pipeline templates.
- You cannot delete the Default Stage pipeline template and templates that are linked to jobs.

- You can add new stages, rename, re-order, and delete existing stages in templates.
- When deleting a stage, if it contains active or archived candidates, you must move them to another stage before proceeding.

Any changes made to a Stage pipeline template (adding, editing, re-ordering, or deleting stages) will automatically update all jobs using that template.
